Tilak Shah- Chief Technology Officer, Chairman
 
Tilak M. Shah has more than 40 years experience in the thermoplastic polyurethane and medical device industry.

A visionary and inventor with numerous patents to his name, Mr. Shah has unparalleled expertise and keen understanding in material science and plastic processing technologies. Under his guidance, Polyzen project managers and process engineers have successfully completed hundreds of challenging projects for their clients.

Prior to founding Polyzen, he spent 16 years with Upjohn Company/Dow Chemicals as R&D Engineer, Technical Manager for the European Polymer Chemical Division and as a Worldwide Market Development Manager for new polymer products and technology.




Rich Kindberg- President
 
Rich Kindberg joined Polyzen as President in March, 2010.  His experience spans more than 27 years within the medical device industry with firms such as Johnson & Johnson, C.R. Bard and Teleflex Medical to name a few.  As an operating executive,he has led venture backed, both large and small medical device OEMs, in both private and public sectors within the healthcare industry.

Prior to becoming Polyzen’s President, Mr. Kindberg was President and CEO of Luminetx Corporation, where he was instrumental in orchestrating the firm’s recent organization transition. Rich previously held the position of President of Teleflex Medical, having responsibilities for all of Teleflex’s operations in North America as well as Internationally.  He has also held executive level positions with several leading, multi-national medical device companies including: Ethicon and Ethicon Endo-Surgery, both divisions of Johnson & Johnson; Bard Electrophysiology, a division of C.R. Bard; and privately held  Richard-Allan Medical where as President and CEO, he accelerated the company's growth trajectory eventually leading to its sale.
William Ciavarra - Director of Quality Assurance and Regulatory Affairs
 
With over 25 years of experience in the medical device industry, Bill Ciavarra’s expertise in quality and regulatory processes contribute significantly in accelerating projects to successful completion.

Prior to Polyzen, Bill held positions of increasing responsibility in material planning, manufacturing and quality assurance, with Boston Scientific, Core-M Precision Instruments, BioMerieux and Arthrosurface. During that time Bill leveraged his expertise into a successful consulting business, where he directed a variety of device manufacturers through a wide range of quality and regulatory processes as they prepared new products for commercialization.

Bill holds a BS in Health Care Administration from Stonehill College was certified as a quality auditor by ASQ in 1996 and completed the RAB accredited lead auditor written examination for ISO 9001 in 2003.





Rubin Shah- Director of Business Development
 

Rubin Shah has been with Polyzen for over 5 years.  Serving as the Director of Business Development, he oversees the day-to-day activity on all sales and marketing efforts for the family of companies. He is also responsible for negotiating and managing client relationships, informing product development of new market needs and identifying new business opportunities.

Rubin started his career with sales through the financial services industry.  He holds a BA in Economics from the University of North Carolina.


Alex Harding- Director of Finance and Human Resources
 
Alex Harding assumed the role of Director of Finance at Polyzen in October 2008.

Previously he was Controller of Prima Tech USA, an international developer, manufacturer and distributor of animal health products for the swine and cattle production industries.  While at Prima Tech USA, Mr. Harding was responsible for all accounting functions.  He became a certified public accountant in 1989 while working for the international accounting firm of Deloitte & Touche LLP (now Deloitte) as an auditor. Subsequently he held several controller and CFO positions at small and medium-sized companies playing key roles in business sale and acquisition transactions, ERP system implementations, and operational process improvements. 

Alex is a two-term town councilor for the town of Clayton, North Carolina, and has received his MBA degree from East Carolina University.
